November 6–17. The setting is a farmhouse in the American West, inhabited by a family who has enough to eat but not enough to satisfy the other hungers that bedevil.

Through December 8. Sculpture in the Garden unites the work of local artists with the native plant landscapes of the North Carolina Botanical Garden. This year’s show features over 80.
