Running Over Cancer 5K

Midtown readers are invited to run, walk, or jog* alongside a team of 12 local high school students as they host the 12th annual Running Over Cancer 5K to benefit the American Cancer Society. Taking place March 24th @ 2 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, the ROC5K is the primary way this student-led group raises money, thus earning a coveted spot in Oregon’s Hood to Coast relay race, a.k.a. “The Mother of All Relays” with over 12,500 entrants. To date, this team of local high schoolers – consistently the only high school team and the largest fundraising team – has raised over $1 million for the American Cancer Society.
