Enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner at Home—Without the Stress

Why spend all your time in the kitchen on Thanksgiving when you could relax and enjoy a glass of wine with your loved ones – while also supporting a local business? Here is a list of locally owned places in the Raleigh and Western Wake areas where you can order premade Thanksgiving dinners. 

Butcher’s Market

Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

Pre order deadline: It varies depending on the items you select. 

Meal serves: No preset number – all items are a la carte.

Price: Since all items are a la carte, the price varies. 

Dates orders will be available for pickup: It varies, but the smoked turkey (the only precooked turkey they offer) is available for pickup only on Wednesday, November 27.

Pickup Location: Butcher’s Market locations in Cary, Wake Forest, Raleigh and Holly Springs

The menu: The Butcher’s Market offers precooked smoked turkey and a huge selection of precooked side items, hors d’oeuvres and desserts. You can select any of these items a la carte, including a package of side items called All the Fixins that includes the following items for 5-7 people: mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rustic bread stuffing, homestyle turkey gravy and cranberry sauce.

 

Donovan’s Dish

• Pickup or Delivery: Both options available

• Pre order deadline: November 22 (noon)

• Meal serves: 6 (individual meals also available)

• Price: The 6-person meal costs $240. Individual meals cost $25. A la carte add-ons vary in price. 

• Dates orders will be delivered or available for pickup: Tuesday, November 26th or Wednesday, November 27th.

• Pickup Location: Cary Local Market, 107 Edinburgh South Dr., Suite 131, Cary


The menu: Each meal package for six includes three pounds of roasted turkey, a pint of house-made cranberry sauce, two pounds of cornbread stuffing, two pounds of truffle whipped potatoes, a pound of sauteed green beans, one and half quarts of savory sage gravy, 12 “fresh out of the oven” rolls, and a pie (pecan, apple or pumpkin). Individual meals include individual portions of all the same items except that they do not include rolls or pie. 

 

Element Gastropub

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: November 24

• Meal serves: 2-4  people (add-on a la cart items and extra portions are also available)

• Price: 1 meal package costs $120. A la carte items vary in price. 

• Date orders will be available for pickup: Wednesday, November 27th, 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. 

• Pickup Location: 421 Fayetteville Street Suite 103, Raleigh

The menu: Element is a vegan cafe, so the menu is entirely vegan. The meal package includes housemade vegan turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, sourdough stuffing and mushroom gravy. Possible add-ons include vegan ham with grilled pineapple, pineapple casserole, mac and cheese, herbed butter and rolls, pumpkin pie, peanut butter pie and cookies.

Hummingbird Cafe

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: November 20

• Meal serves: A small meal package serves up to 4 people. A large meal package serves up to 10 people. A la carte items are available as well.

• Price: $225 for a small meal package. $495 for the large meal package, plus the prices of any a la carte items.

• Date orders will be available for pickup: Noon-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27

• Pickup Location: Hummingbird Cafe, 1053 East Whitaker Mill Road, Suite 111, Raleigh

The menu: The small meal package includes brined turkey breast with gravy and a choice of three of the following: spiced cranberry sauce, cornbread sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, braised collards, sweet potato casserole, or roasted hakurei turnips and shaved brussels sprouts. It also includes rolls and a choice between pumpkin tiramisu and caramel apple pie. The large meal package includes the same items, but in larger quantities and with four side item selections. 

 

Irregardless Cafe

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: Orders end when pickup slots fill up. Clients should place orders while space is still available

• Meal serves: 4-6 people (add-on a la carte items are also available)

• Price: 1 meal package costs $195. A la carte items vary in price

• Dates orders will be available for pickup: 12:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 27th or 8:15-11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 28th

• Pickup Location: Irregardless Cafe, 901 W. Morgan Street, Raleigh

The menu: A meal package includes one main dish, three sides and one dessert. Designed to please vegetarians, vegans and omnivores, menu options include brined roasted turkey, mushroom Wellington, butternut squash & kale lasagna, braised collard greens, roasted baby carrots, cornbread stuffing, apple crisp, brown sugar pecan pie and many more items. 

 

Longleaf Swine

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: November 20

• Meal serves: No preset number – all items are a la carte.

• Price: Since all items are a la carte, the price varies.

• Date orders will be available for pickup: Tuesday, November 26, noon- 6:00 p.m.

• Pickup Location: Longleaf Swine Barbecue, 300 East Edenton Street, Raleigh

The menu: Starter options include sausage balls and pimento cheese. Main dish options include smoked turkey breast, whole-hog barbecue and Texas-style brisket. Side items include cornbread dressing, esquites (Mexican -style corn served with a variety of toppings), pimento macaroni and cheese, cornbread with honey butter, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, collard greens, roasted sweet potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. Dessert choices include banana pudding, chocolate chess pie and pumpkin pie.

 

Salt & Lime Cabo Grill

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: November 23

• Meal serves: 4-6 people. A la carte items are also available. 

• Price: $200, plus the cost of any a la carte items.

• Date orders will be available for pickup: Wednesday, November 27, 3 p.m.-9 p.m.

• Pickup Location: Salt & Lime Cabo Grill, 4800 Grove Barton Rd. Raleigh

 The menu: The meal includes slow-roasted turkey with smoked chile gravy, ancho cranberry compote and jalapeño cornbread. Customers may select four of the following side items: chipotle mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts with pepitas and ancho agave glaze, caramelized mango salad, chorizo cornbread stuffing, caramelized sweet potatoes with cinnamon tortilla crunch, smoked cheddar and jalapeño mashed potatoes, Mexican street corn salad, or roasted cauliflower with red bell sofrito and cilantro. Customers may choose either cinnamon apple oatmeal crisp or pumpkin bread pudding with brown sugar for dessert.

Sam Jones Barbecue

• Pickup Location: Sam Jones Barbecue, 502 West Lenoir Street, Raleigh

The menu: The meal includes a whole smoked turkey breast, a bottle of Sam Jones Sweet BBQ Sauce, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, green bean casserole, a dozen sweet potato muffins and a pecan pie. Guests can also order a four-pound smoked ham for $49.99 and the whole smoked turkey breast for $67.99.

Table & Twine

• Pickup or Delivery: Both options available.

• Pre order deadline: November 24. Cancellation deadline is November 18.

• Meal serves: Options include a dinner for up to 6 people and a dinner for up to 10 people.

• Price: $299.99 for a dinner that serves up to 6 people. $399.99 for a dinner that serves up to 10 people. 

• Dates orders will be available for pickup or delivery: Tuesday, November 26th: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Wednesday, November 27th: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

• Pickup Location: Rocky Top Catering, 5000 Departure Drive, Raleigh.

The menu: Thanksgiving package meals include a raw turkey that comes prepared to be cooked in a roasting pan with instructions, aromatics, a meat thermometer and clarified butter. Just put it in the oven when you are ready to roast it. The rest of the meal is pre-cooked and will just need warming. The meal includes a savory brioche stuffing, cranberry chutney, turkey gravy, creamed kale and butternut squash gratin, buttermilk mashed potatoes, bacon bourbon collard greens, sweet potato casserole, rolls, a chocolate hazelnut chess pie and a butterscotch apple pie. 

Table & Twine is also partnering with Overflowing Hands to bring fully prepared Thanksgiving meals to people recovering from Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.  

 

The Pit Authentic Barbecue

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: November 22

• Meal serves: Packages are available for groups of 2, 4, 8, or 16 people. A la carte items are also available. 

• Price: $50 per person, plus the prices for any a la carte items.

• Dates orders will be available for pickup: Wednesday, November 27 and Thursday, November 28

• Pickup Location: The Pit, 328 West Davie Street, Raleigh

The menu: Spinach salad; smoked and glazed ham; pit-cooked, carved, bone-in turkey; chopped whole-hog barbecue; dressing; cranberry chutney; sweet potato casserole; green bean casserole; mashed potatoes and gravy; macaroni and cheese; King’s Hawaiian rolls and a choice of pecan or pumpkin pie.

The menu: Customers can order all Thanksgiving meal items except the turkey, including breads and rolls, sides and snacks, and pies and cookies. Starters and meal side items include a cheese ball with crostini, sourdough stuffing, creamed collard greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, and baked macaroni and cheese. Bread items include parker house rolls and sourdough bread. Dessert items include butterscotch-pecan pie, chocolate chess pie, pumpkin-sweet potato pie, Dutch apple pie, and a variety of cookies.

 

Weaver Street Market

• Pickup or Delivery: Pickup

• Pre order deadline: November 24, 9 p.m.

• Meal serves: Complete turkey meals are available for 2-4 people, 6-8 people, and 8-10 people. A complete vegetarian meal is available for 6-8 people. Vegan and turkey meals are available in individual portions. A la carte desserts and add-ons are available.

• Price: Turkey meal for 2-4 people: $99.99. Turkey meal for 6-8 people: $154.99. Turkey meal for 8-10 people: $189.99. Vegetarian meal for 6-8 people: $99.99. Individual turkey meal: $11.99. Individual vegan meal: $10.99. 

• Dates orders will be available for pickup: Saturday, November 23rd–Saturday, November 30th.

• Pickup Location: Weaver Street Market is a Triangle-owned business with several locations. The one in Wake County is at 404 West Hargett Street, Raleigh.

The menu: The turkey dinner menu for 2-4 people includes roasted turkey breast, apple pecan stuffing, roasted root vegetables, mashed potatoes, gravy, fresh cranberry relish and rolls. The turkey dinner menu for 6-8 people includes larger portions of the same items and also a crunchy sweet potato bake. The turkey dinner menu for 6-8 people includes all the previously mentioned items and also a green bean casserole. The vegetarian menu for 6-8 people includes all above-mentioned items except the turkey and includes roasted vegetable gravy instead of turkey gravy. The vegan meal includes a plant-based roast, apple pecan stuffing, roasted sweet potatoes, green beans, roasted vegetable gravy and fresh cranberry relish.
