Each month we put out a listing of onstage opportunities and theater-related events for the upcoming month. Here are some onstage offerings in Raleigh, Wake Forest and Western Wake during June. They are listed in the order of the date of the first performance. June audition opportunities are listed at the end of the article.

Ex-boyfriends, written by Dani Coan. Directed by Barbette Hunter and Amelia Lumpkin. A woman reviews a series of ex-boyfriends who manifest themselves as reflections of her inner personal struggles.
A House (After Ibsen’s Ghosts), adapted by Lucius Robinson and Jerome Davis. Directed by Jerome Davis. This is a one-person show adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s play Ghosts.

Night of Scripts, Cold Reading and Critique
June 3
Playwrights across Wake County and surrounding areas are invited to submit short pieces (10 minutes in length or less) to be read by local actors and receive critique. Local actors are invited to come perform the pieces, and all others are invited to come watch. All participants and observers are welcome to critique the pieces. This event takes place the first Monday of every month.

Friday, June 7: JTP will pop the champagne for their traditional opening night event, Meet the Director. A discussion with director Nancy Rich will start at 6:40 p.m. Snacks will be provided. No tickets are required for the discussion, though tickets are required for the 7:30 p.m. show.
Sunday, June 16th: There will be a Talkback with the cast and crew of “Cabaret” immediately after the 3:30 p.m. show. No tickets are required to attend the talkback event.
