Capital City Juneteenth Celebration

Dix Park hosts the third annual Capital City Juneteenth Celebration from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Taking place on the Big Field and in the Chapel, the community is invited to enjoy an afternoon of reflection and festivity in honor of Juneteenth (June 19th) – the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the abolition of slavery in the United States. The family-friendly event showcases the significance of Juneteenth through live music, youth dance performances, exhibitors, food, children’s activities and more.
